The Jones family opened St. George Senior Living in 2018 with a simple conviction: that the end of life deserves the same warmth and dignity as the beginning. They built a craftsman-style home on Legacy Place — not a facility, not a wing, but a home — where residents gather around a real dining table and evenings end with familiar faces.

Set just off Highway 24, this home serves families from Manhattan, Wamego, Alma, and the surrounding Flint Hills communities. It’s close enough for daily visits and peaceful enough that residents actually want to stay.

Every staff member is selected with great care. We look for people with genuine compassion, patience, and a heart for serving others — people who treat caring for the elderly as a calling, not just a job.

As a locally-owned and family-operated business, it is our mission to serve our community and provide seniors with a safe and secure home where they can live with dignity. We value our residents past individuality and strive to create an atmosphere that helps them flourish.
It is our vision to provide a beautiful, residential setting that offers the highest standard of care, with a culture of caregivers and residents establishing friendships and viewing each other as family. Ultimately, it is important to us that our residents feel like they are at home.
Our staff upholds the values of compassion, integrity, honor, and dignity in the highest regard toward the residents we serve with person-centered care. This is an innovative way of thinking and a relatively new concept in retirement living. Our main focus is on our residents’ wishes and desires, taking into account their medical and social needs. We use a flexible approach, meeting needs in a way that best suits each individual resident.
